9 Relaxing Meditation Practices Around the World

9 Relaxation Meditations Practiced Around the World

By | Blog, Meditation, Non-Visual Skills for Blind and Sighted, Uncategorized, Vibravision USA | No Comments

As the June wedding season approaches, love is in the air! After all, isn’t “love” a universal language? Maybe! But it’s not the only one. ‘Turns out, meditation is also wide-reaching. Today, we’re going to discuss 9 relaxation meditations practiced around the world, and we hope you’ll join the conversation.

Wealth Of Health Meditation

What Is Meditation?

If you follow our Vibravision Foundation, you may have read our March 5, 2019 post about five meditation types and their benefits. There, we provided a definition from Yoga International that defines the practice well.

“[Meditation is] a precise technique for resting the mind and attaining a state of consciousness that is totally different from the normal waking state…Meditation is…a science, which means that the process of meditation follows a particular order, has definite principles, and produces results that can be verified. In meditation, the mind is clear, relaxed, and inwardly focused. When you meditate, you are fully awake and alert, but your mind is not focused on the external world or on the events taking place around you. Meditation requires an inner state that is still and one-pointed so that the mind becomes silent. When the mind is silent and no longer distracts you, meditation deepens.”

At MP USA, our Wealth of Health and Vibravision programs can be classified as forms of meditation because they specialize in using meditation to improve both personal health and situational awareness. Our Wealth of Health program is beneficial on a holistic level because it creates an environment for active meditation, which can help you unlock the secrets to a longer, healthier life. If you want to drill down further, our Vibravision program allows you to sharpen your senses so keenly that you can “see” without using your eyes. In the United States, both opportunities are available only through MP USA.

What Options Are Available?

Before we delve deeper, we’d like to remind you of six ways meditation will improve your life. These include:

  • Stress Relief
  • Improved Focus
  • Making Money
  • Improved Immune System
  • Improved Sleep
  • Problem Solving

What’s even better is that there’s not a one-size-fits-all approach to acquiring these benefits. If you’d like to explore some options, Live & Dare gives you 23. We’ve narrowed them down to nine.

  1. Metta Meditation: This Indian form of meditation is of Buddhist origin and focuses on expressing love and kindness – Metta in the Pali language – toward yourself and others. It is practiced in a seated position and involves repeating words or phrases that evoke a “boundless warm-hearted feeling.”
  2. Mindfulness Meditation: Mindfulness meditation is similarly rooted in Buddhism, specifically Vipassana or insight meditation. It has also been influenced by Vietnamese Zen Buddhism. Mindfulness meditation is becoming increasingly popular in the United States and, as Live & Dare explains,  the practice involves “intentionally focusing on the present moment, accepting and non-judgmentally paying attention to the sensations, thoughts, and emotions that arise.”
  3. Mindful Breathing (Breath awareness): In the Pali language, mindful breathing is called samatha. Samatha practice is incorporated within many Buddhist traditions and involves calming the mind to increase concentration.
  4. Kundalini Yoga: Kundalini yoga is a complex form of “energy awakening” that is deeply influenced by Hinduism and must be practiced under the guidance of a qualified yogi. Its goal is to awaken dormant energy centers in the body to achieve psychic development and enlightenment.
  5. Zen: Zen, or Zazen, is Japanese in origin and is one of the most widely practiced Buddhist meditation techniques in existence. It involves sitting on a mat or a chair, straightening the back, and focusing on the movement of breath, often to a count.
  6. Transcendental: Transcendental meditation is an Indian technique, first introduced in the 1950s. It is practiced widely worldwide and involves repeating specific mantras, which are often the Tantric names of Hindu deities.
  7. Guided: Guided meditation is “a modern phenomenon” that involves focusing with the help of a guide on overcoming a specific challenge or achieving a specific desire. Guided meditations are often shared via recordings that consumers can listen to with headphones while they are either seated in a comfortable position or laying down. They often involve imagery that “makes use of the imagination and visualization powers of the brain” for the purposes of relaxation and/or healing.
  8. Binaural Beats: Binaural beats are sound frequencies that were originally discovered in 1839 by Heinrich Wilhelm Dove, a Polish physicist, and meteorologist.  Through his research. Dove learned that when these rhythms are transmitted through stereo headphones -with a different beat playing in each ear – they can help the brain achieve a meditative state. Binaural beats are useful for relaxation, sleep, and focus.
  9. Affirmations: Affirmations are usually incorporated within the practice of guided imagery and involve the repetition of a positive or inspirational phrase tied to a specific desire or goal. “I believe in myself,” “I have confidence in what I do,” and “life is good,” are examples of common affirmations.

The Vibravision Foundation’s Journey to America’s Real Deal

By | Blog, Vibravision Foundation, Vibravision Techniques | No Comments

Vibravision has come a long way in America since Nate and Mike Zeleznick arranged for Vibravision trainers and specialists to visit Utah in 1999. Currently, the Vibravision Foundation team is in Texas filming for the first season of the America’s Real Deal TV show. Below, we will explore the Vibravision Foundation’s journey to America’s Real Deal and how you can become part of the journey.

How the Vibravision Foundation Got to This Point

In 1999, Nate and Mike Zeleznick brought numerous Vibravision experts to the United States. Previously, it had only been available in Indonesia, where MP trainers introduced it to the public in 1989. Soon after it was introduced, Kopassus, Indonesia’s Special Forces, practiced the technique to improve their night vision. Blind individuals also began to train so they could sense their surroundings without the use of sight.

During the 1999 trip to the USA, Vibravision specialists demonstrated their skills at Weber State University, the Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind, many news stations, and the Indonesian Embassy in Washington, DC.

Over the next year, Mike and Nate trained extensively in Merpati Putih and were officially recognized as the first American MP members in 2000. In the coming years, both would travel to Indonesia many times and continue to climb the ranks of MP. In the process, they learned more about Vibravision. In fact, Mike almost lost a game of pool to a Vibravision practitioner wearing a blindfold.

Finally, after six months of intensive training in Jakarta in 2013, Mike was able to become a Vibravision trainer. In 2014, he started the first Vibravision class in America. And, it has grown from there. MP USA has performed demonstrations and earned the support from optometrists, blind individuals, politicians, and more.

What Is America’s Real Deal?

Vibravision Foundation’s journey to America’s Real DealThe founder and CEO of Independent Stock Market (ISM), Adam Brandley, is spearheading America’s Real Deal, and ISM is powering the project. The original shark from Shark Tank and the inventor of the infomercial, Kevin Harrington, is hosting the new TV show.

The show was created to help investors support entrepreneurs with brilliant ideas. Instead of attracting your usual millionaires and Wall Street types, the show aims to introduce regular TV viewers to the world of investing. If you are 18 years old or over and see something you like on the show, you can invest, refer people to the business, buy their items or services, or vote for the business.

How Vibravision Fits into America’s Real Deal

Vibravision Foundation’s journey to America’s Real DealFirst of all, we want to thank Adam Brandley, who has been a big supporter of Vibravision since he witnessed the technique’s abilities firsthand and saw how it has the potential to help both sighted and blind people.

Because of Vibravision’s demonstrated effectiveness and power to transform lives, the foundation has been selected to pitch their business idea on America’s Real Deal. This week, Mike and Nate are traveling to Fort Worth’s Stockyard Station with Vibravision team members, Angie Anderson and her son TJ. If all goes well, the foundation will be able to offer Vibravision to a much larger audience.

How You Can Get Involved

Keep your eyes peeled for when America’s Real Deal is streaming or showing on your preferred media outlet. We will let you know through our blog when the Vibravision pitch is airing. In the meantime, here are a few resources you should check out:

What’s New at the Vibravision Foundation for the Blind?

By | Blog, Martial Arts for the Blind, Vibravision Techniques | No Comments

We always have a lot going on at MP USA and the Vibravision Foundation. We like to stay busy and to look for new ways to introduce more people to the life-enhancing skills and practices offered by Merpati Putih. In today’s blog, we thought we’d take a moment to share with you what’s coming down the pipeline. So, without further ado, here is what’s new at the Vibravision Foundation for the Blind.

Vibravision on America’s Real Deal TV Show

Vibravision Foundation for the BlindAmerica’s Real Deal is a new TV show spearheaded by Adam Brandley, the founder of Independent Stock Market (ISM), which is powering the project. He has teamed up with host Kevin Harrington, who was the original “shark” from “Shark Tank.” Harrington is also considered the inventor of the infomercial.

The goal of the show is to help pair people with brilliant ideas and investors. But, the investors aren’t Wall Street tycoons or millionaire hot shots. They are regular television viewers. Everyone who watches the show and is at least 18 years of age has the opportunity to vote for businesses, buy their items or services, refer people to the businesses, and invest.

Appearing on America’s Real Deal is an excellent opportunity to help Vibravision reach visually impaired people outside of the Ogden, Utah area. The show, which is just about to kick off its first season, has a nationwide following, and the powers of Vibravision will be on display coming this June. Our goal is not only to be this year’s America’s Real Deal Champion, but we also want to help more people take in their physical surroundings without the use of sight.

Vibravision Training for Sighted People

Vibravision Foundation for the BlindThough they get the most life-changing results, visually-impaired individuals are not the only people who can benefit from Vibravision. MP USA offers weekly classes for sighted people aged ten years and older. If you would like to get a little idea of what Vibravision is about, you should come check out one of our Energy Intro Classes taking place on Wednesday nights in June: the 13th, 20th, and 27th. The classes run from 7 pm to 9 pm.

These classes also serve as an intro to our Wealth of Health Program. Before joining our Vibravision classes, sighted individuals must engage in six months of Wealth of Health training. The reason for this is that we want both youth and adults to know how to build their energy, meditate, and be prepared for the Vibravision training. By participating in the Wealth of Health Program’s meditation and mindfulness aspects, you will receive the added benefit of improved overall health, happiness, and focus. The next Wealth of Health semester starts in July.

Immersion Classes Are Coming in August

Vibravision Foundation for the BlindIn August, we are offering both sighted and blind 5-Day Immersion retreats. From August 6th through the 10th, you can take part in our Level 1 classes. This is meant to be an entry-level immersion into Vibravision techniques. Depending on the class sizes, we may have sighted and blind/low vision students pair up to help each other learn. After all, part of achieving mastery is learning how to teach a skill.

Building on what was learned in our Level 1 class, we will teach sighted and blind students a whole lot more in our Level 2 instruction from August 20th through the 24th. All of the classes are eight hours per day and include an intro to Vibravision, sensing and implementation, breathing techniques, meditations, power building exercises, testing, and a certificate of completion.

If you are interested in experiencing Vibravision first hand, contact MP USA at (866) 666-7872, Option 1 today to learn more.

The Vibravision Foundation: A Non-Profit Organization for the Blind in Ogden Utah

By | Blog, Vibravision Foundation, Vibravision Techniques | No Comments

If you could help a blind person to see, would you do it? Utah is full of kind-hearted individuals who are ready to assist others at the drop of a hat. So, we have a feeling every one of you reading this would jump at the chance to help the visually impaired. Fortunately, there is now a non-profit organization for the blind in Ogden Utah. Below, we will learn more about this non-profit, explore some success stories, and let you know how you can assist blind individuals.

What Is the Vibravision Foundation?

If you follow our blog at all, you know that Vibravision is an ancient technique in Merpati Putih that allows both sighted and visually-impaired people to “see” through the use of vibrational energy and nothing else.

In order to get the most out of the training, blind students must totally immerse themselves in the Vibravision training. This level of training does not come cheap. The Vibravision Foundation was founded to help visually-impaired individuals of all economic means afford the classes. The goal of the Foundation is to teach all blind people who are interested the art of Vibravision. We believe this is a technique that can greatly enhance their lives and want to make it as readily available as possible.

What Are the Blind Immersion Classes?

non-profit organization for the blind in Ogden UtahThere are weekend, five-day, and one-month immersion classes available for visually-impaired people. The 16-hour-long weekend course is designed for students who want to see what Vibravision is about but don’t want to commit to the longer term immersion.

The five-day immersion takes place over five days. Blind students receive a uniform, DVD of the event, and a certificate of completion. And, since it is a true immersion course, lodging and food are also provided. There are two levels to the five-day program. Level 2 builds upon what students learn in Level 1. The next Level 1 course is scheduled for August 6th through 10th, 2018.

The one-month immersion program perfects the skills learned in the five-day immersion programs. The classes take place every weekday for eight hours.

Success Stories

non-profit organization for the blind in Ogden UtahFor the last six months, Mike Armstrong and Tiffany Shearon of Phoenix, AZ, who are both blind, have been making the trip up to Ogden for training once per month. The regular practice continues to develop their non-visual perception. Consequently, they have both shown marked improvements in orientation and mobility.

As we discussed in a recent blog, Mike applied for the Holman Prize to receive funding to be able to study Vibravision full-time for a year. He is currently a semifinalist in the process. Both Mike and Tiffany point to Vibravision as having changed their lives, and compared to the tools they had been taught previously, Vibravision is much different and has provided a new level of spatial awareness.

What You Can Do to Help

If you are inspired to help blind individuals after learning about the Vibravision Foundation, you’re in luck. There are several ways you can support the visually-impaired to achieve their goals of becoming more aware of their surroundings. First, you can choose to donate any amount to our general donation fund. This will be split up among applicants who have a financial need. Secondly, you can choose to sponsor or donate to a specific applicant.

And, if you want to help Mike Armstrong in his bid to win a Holman Prize, check out his YouTube video and take a moment to hit the thumbs-up button.

Develop your Jedi Powers by Opening your Third Eye

By | Blog, Vibravision Foundation, Vibravision Videos | No Comments

Star Wars is the most popular movie franchise of all time. So, it’s only natural as we watch the films, whether it’s the time-tested original trilogy or the newer, more visually-mesmerizing flicks, that we wish we had Jedi powers, or “the Force.” What if we told you there was a way to tap into the Force-like ability to be able to sense your natural environment without the use of vision? Through Vibravision, you can come close to experiencing the skills of your favorite Jedi Master.

SaberQuest Was a Success!

If you read the MP USA blog regularly, you know that our Vibravision crew was preparing for a trip to Virginia Beach, Virginia to participate in SaberQuest. The event was this past weekend, and it was a total success!

SaberQuest is basically an event where participants can learn about how to use lightsabers to boost the mental, physical, and emotional abilities of people therapeutically. There were a whole host of workshops, demonstrations, competitions, and more. It was a blast!

Though the event was not specifically geared toward blind students, our Vibravision team showed the abilities – lightsaber and otherwise – that can be gained by both blind and sighted individuals. We participated in multiple demonstrations of ways to use Vibravision throughout the weekend. Our teams also had fun battling blindfolded with lightsabers against sighted opponents. Plus, we put on obstacle course and reading demos. We can tell you all about it, but you might get more from watching one of our demonstrations:

What Is Vibravision Anyway?

If you’re new to our blog, you may wonder how someone can use Vibravision in Ogden, UT to harness the powers of the Force. Essentially, MP USA teaches methods to “hack” the brain to create internal visual images from non-visual senses. Without the use of your eyes, you can see with Vibravision’s “Mindsight.” This is part of Merpati Putih (MP) and was developed centuries ago by the Indonesian Royal Family. Today, it is used by blind people, MP members, search and rescue personnel, and Indonesia’s elite commando paratroopers.

MP USA is the only school in the Western Hemisphere to teach Merpati Putih or Vibravision. In our time, we have had our fair share of doubters. Consequently, we are constantly having to demonstrate that Vibravision really works. You can see for yourself in the above video. However, we have also been evaluated and endorsed by several professionals, including opticians, medical doctors, optometrists, news reporters, and countless visually-impaired people.

Some of the skills Vibravision helps develop include shooting targets with accuracy, reading text, and detecting the color, direction of travel, shape, and distance of objects.

How You Can Develop Jedi-Like Powers

We begin our Vibravision courses for sighted people quarterly in January, April, July, and October. The monthly cost varies, but beginner classes are generally less than $100 per month. Classes are open to participants aged 10 and older, and they take place once a week. Before you can start Vibravision training, though, you must have trained in the Merpati Putih Meditation and Energy method for six months at least. This will ensure you are prepared for Vibravision classes.

If you are interested in learning what Vibravision is all about before committing, we recommend attending Energy Intro Classes. These are held on Wednesday evenings from 7 to 9 pm in March, June, September, and December. If you are reading this post the day it comes out (March 28th), you can head on down to MP USA to experience Vibravision in Ogden, UT tonight. Otherwise, our next intro classes will be in June.
